The 1999 Torplex 200k and Devon Delight 100k Rides
1999 Torplex - we won't be doing this again in this millenium! Thus proving that insanity is a game we can all play! In spite of a lousy weather forecast these intrepid fools cyclists head off for the Devon hinterland.
Just a few names I can put to the faces:- Peter Head, Graham Reed, Les Prior, Richard Harding, Richard Weaving, Andrew Endicott and of course, hiding at the back, Ian Kendall

Graham Brodie had left to compete in the CTC 25 mile Time Trial by this time!

Just a few tired faces at Budlake Village Hall The welcome Budlake Village Hall Controle. The food was plentiful and it was just over halfway for the Devon Delight.
2 Intrepid finishers Richard Lander Stow and his "squeeze" Samantha Chandler. This was Sam's first ride that was over 26 miles. She managed admirably getting back within the BRM time (BRM timing is set at 15 to 30kph!)
